THE GREAT SOUTH RAID
This raid takes place on approximately 900 km of tracks and dunes. It requires good physical shape. You will discover all the magic and diversity of the incredible great Moroccan south by crossing dunes and superb oases as well as magnificent palm groves (the Draa Valley).
DAY 1 : AGDZ – ZAGORA
(quad / buggy day 120 Km)
Arrival at the starting point at 9 a.m., debriefing, initiation of vehicles and delivery of equipment for a departure to Zagora crossing lunar landscapes where red dominates, picnic lunch in depending on the timing, take the vehicles back to join the track which along the magnificent palm grove dotted with ancient Kasbahs of the valley Drâa, walking along the left bank of the Oued. Arrival in Zagora at the end of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 : ZAGORA - M’HAMID - ERG LIHOUDI
(quad/buggy day 140 Km)
After breakfast, departure at 09:00 from Zagora by a rolling track to the first dunes. Lunch in a bivouac in M'Hamid which is the last village before the desert. Afternoon, quad in the dunes before crossing the big dunes of Erglihoudii Arrival in the early evening in bivouac at Erg Lihoudi. Mechoui dinner and night in bivouac.
DAY 3 : ERG LIHOUDI - OASIS SACRE – CHEGAGA
(day 130 Km)
After breakfast, departure at 09:00 am towards the Sacred Oasis of the Marabout of Sidi Abderrahmane. Quad day alternating rolling tracks and dunes. Lunch in Chegaga under tent depending on the timing. You will quad all afternoon in the big dunes of Chigaga. Dinner and Night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes of Chegaga
DAY 4 : CHIGAGA – Foum Zguid 120 Km

Wake up very early to admire the sunrise from the highest dune. Breakfast at the camp, then departure towards the oasis of Sidi Abderrahmane. Follow the track that allows you to approach the crossing of Lake Iriki, a dry depression embroidered with an astonishing string of dunes. You go through the sand dunes and the Zaouia of Sidi Abdenbi. After this day in the desert infinity, you will arrive at the oasis of Foum Zguid, far, very far from the world... Dinner and night in Bab Rimal.
DAY 5 : FOUM ZGUID - AGDZ
(quad/buggy day 100 Km)
Breakfast, steppe landscapes on rolling tracks, crossing a large plateau where many villages follow one another in the middle of their cultures. People are welcoming, quiet, women are still dressed in their traditional dress. Arid landscapes crossing the Atlas before joining the marvelous Draa Valley. Return of gear to Agdez. Late lunch around 2:30 p.m.
THE PRICE INCLUDES :
Provision of KYMCO 300cc and/or POLARIS 500cc Quads for 5 days. Gasoline and Diesel Equipment (gloves, helmets, cheichs, glasses, etc.) Supervision and assistance by professional guides in quad at the opening and 4X4 broom assistance vehicle (presence of a mechanic on board and a first aid kit).
